“Fantastic stay at Palais Gentile! We had the large apartment with a private roof terrace, which was spacious comfortable and well-decorated. Breakfast on the main house rooftop, prepared fresh by Carolina and her husband, was a highlight, with stunning views over Matino. Carolina is incredibly friendly, always available, and goes out of her way to help with plans and reservations. Highly recommended!”
“The Palais Gentile has been our base to explore Salento over a few days. We had a lovely time there! The Palais is beautifully made, with a tasteful minimalistic style, yet very Italian decoration. The rooftop terrace offers an amazing view and is the perfect spot to end the day watching the sunset. Breakfast was delicious, with the best pasticiotto. Finally, the cherry on the cake: the owners were so friendly, kind and passionate! They gave us the best advices for exploration, food and wine in the whole region!”

Carolina and Aurelian made us feel incredibly welcome, and no request was ever too much trouble. Aurelian was happy to provide recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, and things to do, even suggesting convenient parking options in different locations. Breakfast was delicious and included local pastries, they have truly thought of everything to make their guests’ stay fabulous. The location was perfect for exploring this stunning part of Italy.
